LEMON LAW
Simply put, LEMON LAW gives consumers legal rights and remedies when they purchase a consumer product that comes with a warranty and turns out to be defective. Consumer products are defined as products that are normally used for personal, family or household purposes. Therefore, LEMON LAW, although commonly known to apply to automobiles also applies to products such as computers, TVs, refrigerators, boats, RVs, and any other consumer product, which costs $25.00 or more. The uniqueness of LEMON LAW is that manufacturers must pay the attorney fees of a consumer who prevails in court or through an out-of-court settlement.
